In case anyone here was wondering..... I am still alive AND ....drumroll please.... I made it ALL 10 miles - no injuries, no quitting (and only 1 bathroom break).
On Saturday, my friend, Nicole, and I walked 10 miles to raise money (and awareness) for diabetes in our community. We were joined by many other walkers and although we didn't come in first (or last), it was really fun! There was also a 50 mile relay for runners - a team of 5 people ran a total of 50 miles.
The walk was very well organized and well supported. It was great to see so many people out walking (and helping out) for such a great cause. A huge THANK YOU goes out to our local FFA chapter, local volunteers, and our local fire/ambulance squads. Hope to see you all again next year!
