It's working

Remember the solar-powered tank heater I showed you how I built?  Well, so far it is working great.  There have been many mornings when there is a solid sheet of ice on my other tank and so far not a sparkle of ice on my water in my tank heater.  I am super excited that it is working.  I will also be interested to see how cold it can get before it does freeze.  The tank works great and the cows don't seem to mind drinking out of the small square hole.  It is important to keep it full, not only to help with holding in heat, but so the cows can reach the water at all times.  This will save me a lot of money this winter and I think I will build another one next summer for the horse tank.  I love it when things work!
