Pinching Pennies

I can honestly say that I am not good at saving money.  I am good at finding ways to reduce my bills, but usually just to spend the money on something else.  Sometimes reducing bills to spend elsewhere can be beneficial.  For example, this weekend we are planning to take the kids on a short trip to do some fun, family things.  We are able to use money we didn't spend on bills to pay for the trip. 

One of the best ways I save money each month is on my Straight Talk phone.  I have had my phone for several months now and I am not ashamed to say that Straight Talk has my loyalty, Hook, line and sinker.  I have never went over my 1000 minutes or 1000 texts that I get on the "All You Need Plan" for $30 a month.  If I ever do, I know that there is also an unlimited plan available for only another $15 per month.  My Straight Talk phone makes me feel rich!!!  I get a WHOLE YEAR of cell service for only $360.  I was spending that in 2 months with my old cell provider.  The best part is that I can cancel, change my plan, or change my phone whenever I want.  There are no activation fees, upgrade fees, renewal fees, or expensive phones to buy.  In fact, I can buy a new phone for as little as $10.

Call a friend, use the internet browser, send a text message, or use 411 for FREE!!  I can do all of these things on my Straight Talk phone - all while getting great reception & connectivity.  I also have the option of using their prepaid International Long Distance service if I ever have need of it. Now they even have Android on Straight Talk.  The Android style phone is a little more expensive up front than my phone was, but the talk/data/message plan is still your basic $45 for unlimited service.   You just can't beat Straight Talk!!
